Legal Risk Outsourcing in Personnel, Safety & Taxation Services 2007/8
Even according to the government's own figures - over £11bn of regulatory impacts have hit business since 1997. To deal with this - all businesses need either dedicated and well supported in-house teams, and increasingly they look to outsorucing and external specialists for help. This Market report analyses those specialists.
A market that should have been dominated by lawyers, insurers or publishers, is not. A new breed of legal risk specialists - the regulatory consultancies - have risen to the challenge for tens of thousands of UK businesses and now leads the way.
Their growth rates are impressive, client retention robust, and as this market matures, leading players are offering a wide range of differing types of solution. Suppliers target blue chip companies and micro businesses with an innovative range of solutions in employment, safety, tax fee protection or a combination of the three.
The market is beginning to divide into two levels. There are those offering higher service levels such as Croner Consulting, Citation, Drury, Ellis Whittam and Park City, able and willing to compete directly with the specialist employment lawyers. There are also those offering "light touch" or off-site consultancy, often for SMEs and micro businesses, such as Abbey Protection Group, Peninsula Business Services and RBS Mentor Services.
Services typically comprise personnel and safety compliance, although increasingly some offer tax fee protection services to high street accountancy firms as a complementary service, including IRPC/Croner and Peninsula/QDos.
Now in its sixth edition, this Business Intelligence Report analyses the role of these consultancies within the wider employment law and health & safety markets in the UK. Tax fee protection services are also covered.
This unique Market Report covers all of the key drivers for the market including legislation listed by commencement dates, enforcement activity by the HSE and local authorities, personal injury litigation trends and employment tribunal statistics since the mid-90s. All long term drivers are set out clearly and analysed in detail.
